Privacy Notice

The short version

You can use MACCA without an account. In that case, your sketches are kept in this browser unless you export or publish them. If you sign in, MACCA stores the account details needed to identify you and the works you choose to save to the cloud.

Who is responsible

Brandboard Global AB, organisation number 559424-1019, is the data controller for personal data processed through MACCA Music.

What we handle

• Account data: your email address, sign-in provider, account identifier and profile information you add.
• Composition data: sketches, releases, titles, creator details and related settings that you save or publish.
• Service data: security and diagnostic logs needed to operate, protect and troubleshoot MACCA.
• Aggregate usage data: page, referrer, approximate location, browser, operating system and device category. Our web analytics is designed to be anonymous and does not use third-party analytics cookies.

Why we use it

We use this information to provide sign-in and cloud saving, deliver public releases you choose to publish, keep the service secure, answer support requests, understand aggregate product use and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data or use your private compositions for advertising.

Where it goes

MACCA uses service providers to host and operate the product. These include Supabase for authentication and cloud data, Vercel for hosting and anonymous web analytics, Google when you choose Google sign-in, and payment providers when you buy a paid plan. They process information under their own terms and our arrangements with them. A public or unlisted release can be accessed by anyone who has its link, so only publish material you intend to share.

Storage and control

Browser-only sketches remain on your device and can disappear if browser storage is cleared. Signed-in works remain in your cloud library until you delete them or ask us to close the account, except for limited backups, security records or information we must retain. You can export your music at any time. You may ask to access, correct, export or delete personal data, or object to or restrict certain processing where applicable.
